National and international impact and visibility of Dr. Blanca Estela Margarita Buitrón-Sánchez's scientific production.

Abstract




This work aims to do a metric study of the scientific production generated throughout the academic life of Dr. Blanca Estela Margarita Buitrón-Sánchez. Therefore, we will show the impact, cooperation, citation and presence at the national and international level of Buitrón-Sánchez ́s work. For these purposes we will be using various sources of information such as the Web of Science, Scopus, SciVal, PURE, Altmetrics, Dimensions, Google Scholar, GeoRef, Geobase, T-Thesis and Geomex, which allowed the compilation of all the possible variants that their publications could offer to the new generations of scientists. The metric analysis focuses on the visibility, presence and cooperation that the researcher has had over the years, through the analysis of her publications indexed in the different types of databases and systems that were used for the study. The work does not seek to offer an analysis of the academic life of the researcher rather to present a bibliometric overview of her published works. Above all, this work will like to highlight the scientific contribution she has made to geology and in particular to paleontology during her activity as a researcher.
