Abstract

A series of considerations are made about the age of the sediments of the type locality of "Pizarras Necoxtla", and of the outcrops assigned to this stratigraphic unit of the Chocamán ravine, Municipality of Coscomatepec, Ver. Photographs of the microfossils observed in the thin plates of these rocks are presented, showing a faunal group of foraminifera from the Upper Cretaceous (Senonian, probably Upper Campanian), with abundance of specimens of the genera Globotruncana Cushman, 1927; Rugotruncana Broanimann and Brown, 1055; Rugoglobigerina Bronnimann, 1952 and Gümbelina Egger, 1900 among others.
