Abstract

We dedicate this issue of Mexican Paleontology (Vol.7, No. 2) to the memory of Dr. Alencáster because, among her numerous contributions, she was the founder of this journal in 1954. The doctor Gloria Alencáster Ybarra was a prominent academic at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, with more than 60 years of service at our university, carrying out her academic work at the Institute of Geology.
