Abstract

Two species of corals (Lophophyllidium Kayseri major [Huang] and Lophophyllidium zaphrentoidea [Huang]) of the Order Rugosa, are described. They were found in deposits of Lower Permian age (Grupera Formation) located in the southeastern part of the State of Chiapas, Mexico. Both species are also found in Lower Permian rocks of China.
