Abstract

Here is a general panorama on the vertebrate paleontology in Baja California State. Main localities and its principal discoveries are described, as well as the interpretation of depositional environments on which fossils where preserved. Nowadays the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California work on fossil rescue and preservation, leading to the creation of the Baja California State Paleontological Collection, located at Ensenada, Baja California, in the Marine Sciences Faculty.
