Abstract

A population of Nummoloculina heimi Bonet from Cretaceous sediments of Las Villas province, Cuba, a species not previously mentioned in scientific publications for that country, is studied and illustrated. It is particularly significant the fact that Nummoloculina heimi Bonet has been found to date in reef sediments of the Albian-Cenomanian, forming a circle, in Mexico, Cuba and the United States, which allows to suppose the existence of very close paleoecological and paleogeographical relationships. In addition, a comparison is made between the Cuban materials and those described by Bonet (1952, 1956) and by Conkin and Conkin (1956, 1958), for Mexico and the United States.
