Fossil fauna of the Santa Clara Formation (Cárnico) in the State of Sonora
Main Article Content
Abstract
This work describes 14 species of fossil marine invertebrates, of which 12 are reported for the first time in Mexico. This fauna consists mainly of pelecypods, including four new species (Nuculana curvirostris, Myophoria mexicana, Myophorigonia salasi and Mytilus (Clhoromya) sonorensis). The material comes from the Santa Clara Formation, of carnian age, from the central part of the State of Sonora.
