Participation of Dr. Gloria Alencáster Ybarra in Chiapas and its repercussion for the development of paleontologyin the state

Abstract
In the development and consolidation of the paleontological activity in the state of Chiapas, it has combined several actors and circumstances that were conceived 69 years ago, and to our esteemed Dr. Gloria Alencáster, events placed her in an interesting position that we interpreted as a key to this event, because it was a link between the first scholars of the remote past of Chiapas as Federico K. Müllerried (1891-1955) and the pioneers in the recent nature studies of Chiapas as Miguel Alvarez del Toro (1917 – 1996) and the present generations.
